What is Alternative Certification?
Alternative Certification is another route to certification that allows a degreed individual to obtain certification. For more information, and for a list of programs available, see the ACP link above.
If I am working on my certification, am I eligible for hire as a teacher?
To be eligible for hire as a teacher, you must be eligible for the appropriate Texas certificate effective on or before the first day of employment. Speak with your certification program representative for more information.
